Numbers

Numbers are always fascinating to language learners, it apparently shows a certain degree of ‘mastery’ of the language… So here is my short intro to numbers.

Numbers are easy to learn:

It is like saying every single digit

eleven = shí yī / ten one (Notice that you don’t say ‘one ten one’)
twenty six = èr shí yī / two ten one
one hundred thirty = yī bǎi sān shí  (Think of english whether to add the ‘one’ in front of the hundred)

yī èr sān sì wǔ lìu qī bā jǐu shí (1-10)

bǎi qiān wàn (100, 1000, 10000)
